About Us
Honest real estate, real relationships, and a genuine love for life on Manitoulin Island.
We love what we do and it shows

We’re a husband-and-wife real estate team with over 30 years combined experience, who believe buying or selling a home should feel supportive, honest, and a little less overwhelming.
We care deeply about relationships, communication, and helping people make good decisions with confidence. We also believe that healthy, kind humour can often get us all through a stressful process. We love what we do and it shows.
Our Journey
Real Estate at a More Personal Level
Nothing is more frustrating than feeling pressured into making a decision without enough information…especially a very expensive decision. We don’t pressure people into decisions. Ever. We educate and explain. We tell people how we see things - even when it’s uncomfortable. Relationships are more important than transactions. We want clients to feel informed, supported, and understood.
Why We Love It Here
Fair warning…come to Manitoulin only if you are prepared to...
fall in love with a sense of community… a slower pace of living… peace and quiet…and nature.
This place can be magical if you are ready for a rural lifestyle. We have deer playing in our yard often. A local fox. Natural waterfalls. So many hiking trails. And beaches…did we mention the beaches?
Honestly, the best ice cream ever, not to mention two local chocolateries, fish dinners and roadside fresh eggs and produce stands where they just trust you to leave the money (I know you think we're kidding but we're not).
We love helping people discover the magic of Manitoulin and helping you create family memories that last a lifetime.

Are you ready to talk about your hopes, dreams and plans?
We are ready to listen…to advise, guide and educate. You will get our honest opinion. But one thing you will never get from us is …pressure. We promise.
We answer our phones (I know…that’s just crazy, right?), return emails and phone calls promptly… and we listen…honestly listen. We are actual human beings with a passion for helping others discover what we already know… Manitoulin is a magical place.
In Loving Memory of Charlie

We lost Charlie at Christmas 2024 to blastomycosis...and our hearts are broken. Charlie was...well he was "different". As a border collie he needed to herd everything and everyone in sight...which was great when the grandkids were little...but more challenging for adults who didn't necessarily want to go where HE thought they should be going. He tried to herd everything including our bulldozer...which didn't end well for him. He lost his big canine tooth to the big scary bulldozer, and is still known at Island Animal Hospital as the bulldozer dog. He also felt the need to herd every vehicle driving towards us, beside us and behind us...which made him a huge challenge for travelling. That dog could bark for 8 hours straight! He's probably the only dog you'll ever know who was on two Prozac a day, plus Valium when he was in the car-). Nevermind what he did when the car, tractor, seadoo or ATV were running....yes... more barking.
He was Garry's best buddy...and we both miss his endless shedding of hair (especially on our black clothing)...his crazy barking...and how he just knew when you needed a dog to pat.
